Welcome to Horndean Band's website.
Horndean Band is a military style wind band and corp of
drums, based near Horndean, north of Portsmouth. Membership of the Band is
open to anyone, from 9 to 99 and of any musical standard. If are
interested in joining please contact the bandmaster to find out
more.
The Band
practises on Wednesdays, 7.30 pm to 9.30 pm at Southwick Park. (Previously known

Saturday
31st July saw Horndean Band put on their annual summer concert. The varied
programme included a brilliant trumpet solo by Tanya and a beautiful flute solo
by Nerys, and very enthusiastic flag waving and singing from the audience.
Thanks to the everyone for an enjoyable evening, and especially to the non-band
members who came to help us out.
Horndean
Band had a busy day at Harting Old Club's Whit Monday celebrations on Monday
31st May. The Old Club formed 210 years ago and has a fascinating history,
told on their website.
Horndean Band enjoyed another sunny trip to Horndean's twin town,
Aubergenville from 21st-23rd May 2010. As well as playing at the fete in the
town park and at party on the Saturday evening, they led the parade on the
Sunday. The band would like to thank our French hosts for looking after us so
well.
Horndean
Band were honoured to play at a memorial service and medals ceremony for RMP
just back from Afghanistan, on 8th May 2010. Meridian News's report is linked
